From the military to Meyado; Martin Young starts out
Born in Amersham; a market town in the United Kingdom, Martin Young grew up in Bletchley, also in Buckinghamshire. Martin joined the Junior Leaders Regiment Royal Armoured Corps in Dorset after which he spent four years in service, graduating to his regiment |The Blues and Royals, part of the Household Cavalry. Whilst serving, Martin enjoyed sailing and won the Army Sailing Cup in 1979. After completing his service, Martin spent some time travelling through Europe and the United States and returned to the United Kingdom where he started a career in real estate. He then moved into the investment industry where he worked for companies like Old Mutual and Merrill Lynch. After attaining significant experience in the marketplace, Martin Young made the decision to set off on his own entrepreneurial venture. He started Meyado in Germany when he was thirty years old.

He recently sponsored the Meyado Archie David Cup Final and made a sizable donation to the Household Cavalry Operational Casualties Fund.
